Our genius group decides to sleep in the encampment without a guard. Because why do you need one when surrounded by mushroom people you just met.
In the middle of the night, a huge commotion happens outside the room the group is staying in. The mushrooms are in a panic yelling about Simona. Fafnir goes to look at the beast, and gets attacked by a winged beast that spits acid (that looks like a dragon). Dalath describes Somona as the "master of this land", and the mushroom people are her servants of some sort. They say the dragon lives in a cavern to east.
After waiting out the dragon through the night, our group heads out towards the dragons nest to "tell them how loyal the leshies are", but their eyes were saying "please kill this gosh darn dragon". As they are walking through a bog, Ajax steps on what he believes is a dead body. And it is. But it comes up to attack them!
Once the bog zombie is defeated, Droogami and Fafnir are infected with [[Bog Rot]]. Unfortunately, Ella cannot cure it, so they will have to find somewho can. While trying to decide what to do next, they explore the waters nearby and find 2 [[Barkskin Potion]]s and some gold. They head back to the leshies to see if anyone can heal Bog Rot, but no one has heard of it. The group heads back to the east towards the dragon.
The Gnomon Talisman of Concordance is also pulling the group in this direction. Simona comes into view and sees the group and heads towards them. Our brave group decides to hide into some indents in the landscape to hide a bit, and try to find another way to fight Simona. They find a cavern in a hillside, which turns into a humanoid made hallway with a door in the middle labeled "Bodger". Most of the group makes it into rotting door, but Simona comes in a sprays acid at Ella, who is knocked out. They drag her inside and find themselves in a living room.
After reviving Ella and her healing herself, they find a worn down book of puzzles and decide that would be a good use of time. And also search the room. Ajax opens a locked chest with a crowbar and though a potion explodes with fire, some other things are saved. There is a [[featherstep stone]], a scroll, and a moderate [[Silvertongue mutagen]]. The other chest next to it looks EXACTLY like the one just opened, which is very suspicious. It's probably a mimic, but no one in our group knows what that is. We decide to avoid the chest, but the mimic decides to attack us anyway.
After a sticky fight, the mimic is destroyed. We look through the remnants of the mimic that was a chest, but it was a mimic, so its just guts. The group continues to search the room, and finds nothing else of importance. They head to the next room and take a painting and sterling silverware, which goes right in the bag of holding. They continue into the next room, where Elrond finds a key. Checking what seems to be a closet, the group finds more silver plates and bowls, which they obviously pillage; I mean recover. They find a locked door, which the key seems to work on, behind which is a staircase.
At the top of the stairs is a door warden, who says the door he guards is closed for the safety of the group, because the room holds items that are trapped. No amount of convincing lets them pass, so they attack the guardian, who then pickes up the door as a shield.
The group, obviously, defeats the magic door. Ajax takes the door's sword, which is a +1 striking long sword. Upon entering the room, while checking meticulously for traps, they search for things of value. They take some expensive looking glassware, but not much else asides from more doors.
A large set of double doors with a puzzle on it exists. The doors have buttons labeled "S.T.A.R.T.L.I.N.G" and "reset", and puzzle. Elrond and the others solve the puzzle which opens to an office. Inside a locked office drawer is 3 platinum pieces and a miniature model stage with pieces, which is a [[pocket stage]]. In a mahogony box ([[Transfer Box]]) on the desk is a letter to Brannon from Mer'en'lëa. After inspecting it some, the box itself appears to be magic.
At the same time, Lini picks a single door masterfully near the double doors, which leads to a bedroom with a door on the other side. A nice virtuoso [[lute]] is found in a bedroom cabinet, which obviously goes into the bag of holding. The door leads to a closet that has a huge variety of clothing within it. In the back is a glass case mounted on the wall, which seems to contain juggling pins. Its another puzzle, which Elrond solves quickly. The case recedes into the wall, which reveals a [[hat of disguise]].
From the letters clues, the group heads back to the closet off the kitchen, and solves a puzzle of plates, which swings the wall away leading to a staircase leading to the cellar.
